Who's the real enemy?

Do you battle unbelief? In the spiritual world, we battle the forces of dark.(Eph. 6) Since this is not a physical war, we can't see out enemy, but he is very real. As you battle unbelief, don't forget, that sometimes the enemy is your own thoughts. I read this in a book written by Dr. Lloyd-Jones:

Have you ever realized that most of your unhappiness in life is due to the fact that you are listening to yourself instead of talking to yourself? ....When those thought come, and surely they will, remind yourself of God, Who he is, and what he has done and what he has pledged himself to do for you. Then having done that, defy yourself, and defy others and defy the devil and the whole world and say with the psalmist, David " I will praise Him for the help of His countenance."

It is so true - I learned about a year ago about controlling your internal dialogue. It is so powerful when you don't let things just run through your head but you control those thoughts and put the right message in your mind.
